Happy Spring! | Floral Scene Card ft. Sunny Studio Stamps

Hey crafty friends!

Today I am back with a post on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog! This time I am sharing a Springtime scene card featuring a beatiful floral arrangement inside a basket! Both of those stamp sets are layering stamps which is so cool! It was my first time ever playing with layering stamps and I really love them! It's so easy to create lots of dimension! And if you don't have layering inks? No worries! I only have a few myself and of course - no browns! Which is unfortunate for stamping a basket. haha. So I just used regular Distress Inks! It's not as smooth as with stamping dye inks but I find it worked out well! What do you think?

Wintery Happy Mail! | Interactive Shadow Box Card ft. Hello Bluebird

Hello crafty friends!

Today I want to share this little wintery happy mail shadow box card with you! I really love creating shadow box cards and I didn't get to use the Merry Mice stamp set by Hello Bluebird nearly enough yet. So I used it on this cute tiny box! I always really enjoy taking a holiday stamp and using it for other occasions as well! Changing up the colors this would totally also work for a fall card! I really hope you like it!

As you may have seen I joined two design teams for the upcoming term! *omg so exciting* But that also means a lot (looot) more cards and work than I am used to. So I will keep my posts on here shorter since all the detailed info will always be in the YouTube video. I will share the link to that and of course - as always - list all the products used below. I will also no longer maintain the color map since I don't think many people even saw or used it and it always took me while to make. Instead I will list all the colors along with the rest of the products, so you can still always know (without watching the video lol) what I used! I really hope you don't mind! Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! I would love to hear from you!

Now onto the card for today:

A Fairy Magical Day | Interactive Inside Tunnel Card ft. Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello crafty friends!

Today I want to share my very first card as a design team member for Sunny Studio stamps with you. I just couldn't be more excited! So I really hope you like it! For this one I created an inside tunnel card using the Stitched Circles dies and the Fairy Garden stamp set!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah 80 lb cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then I cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 11" light pink cardstock in half. One panel I cut down to 8"x 5 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4". The second one I left as is and scored it at 1/2", 4 1/4" and 4 3/4". I used the largest of the Stitched Circles - Small to cut the opening between the 1/2" and 4 1/4" score line. The circle cut out that remained I used for the front of the card. After that I used an A2 sized panel of light pink cardstock for the inside of the tunnel mechanism. I cut a slither off of the top and one side and scored it at 1/4" from either side. I lined up the first panel with the circle cut out with the inside piece, lined it up and used the next size down of the Stitched Circles - Small to create the tunnel effect.

I ink blended on the inside of the second panel and the circle cut out directly onto the colored cardstock using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides and added splatters with Liquid Stardust.

After that I added score tape to the back of the ink blended piece, the 1/2" flap and the 1/4" flaps of the inside pieces and attached them to the card base (first panel). In the video (linked above) you can see exactly how I attached everything! It's super hard to describe all the steps but super easy to show you! ;-)

I die cut the Scalloped Circle Mats 3 three times out of white cardstock and layered them using liquid glue. I then die cut a grassy panel and used the circle die again to give it the same edge as my ink blended circle. After that I lined up the circle dies and ran them through my die cutting machine. I cut them in half to create a rainbow. I colored the grass and the rainbow pieces with the same marker colors I used on the other images (see color map below).

Then I added the scalloped circle with the stitched circle and the grassy border to the front and stamped my sentiment. I die cut the word magical with the Loopy Letters dies and added that to the panel with liquid glue.

Finally I attached all of my images and used lots of shimmer pen to embellish my card!

I really hope you like this one and I hope to see you again soon!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

- Julia

An Extra Special Delivery! | Baby Scene Card ft. Lawn Fawn

Hello crafty friends!

Today I want to share a baby card with you I made for a friend who is expecting! When I first saw the Special Delivery stamp set I got the idea to use it for a baby card and that the bird or owl could deliver the baby! I mean... the stork needs a vacation too every now and again, right? haha The colors were inspired by the amazing Mindy Eggen! She created a card for the Lawn Fawn Design Team and her background was just soooo dreamy! I had to recreate it!
So I really hope you like it! This is also my entry for the current Lawnfawnatics "Outstanding Occasions" challenge!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut

I ink blended the background with Distress Oxide Inks (see color map below for the exact colors) and I also added lots of splatters for more interest!

I die cut a scalloped card panel from white cardstock, then layered a slightly smaller red rectangle on top and then attached both to a slimline card base. After that I added the ink blended panel. I also die cut some puffy cloud frames in white and adhered them to the background. Then I added all my images with liquid glue and foam squares. I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a red cardstock and cut it into little strips and added them to the card.

Finally, to embellish the card I added shimmer pen, Crystal Glaze and Stickles, as well as some iridescent jewels!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!
