Super Star Gazing | Starry Night Sky Birthday Card with Lawn Fawn

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are doing well! Today I want to share the a new card with you. For this one, I used the adorable "Super Star" stamp set from Lawn Fawn!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

I ink blended a panel of bristol smooth cardstock using Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide. Then I die cut the panel using the Snowy Backdrop die. I also die cut the Scalloped Rectangle Framed four times out of black cardstock and layered them using liquid glue and then I die cut a grass panel out of black cardstock and used some of the oxide colors on the edge to create a little shine there as well.

I stamped heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in silver onto the hill. I added a piece of silver glitter cardstock to and A2 sized card base and layered the starry background on top. Then, I added the hill and finally the scalloped frame on top of that.

Finally, I added my little mouse and the telescope onto the scene!

This card came together super quickly and it's a lot less busy than my usual cards but I really like how it turned out! I hope you do as well!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Anniversary! | Floral 25th Anniversary Card with Simon Says Stamp

Hello crafty friends!

I hope you are doing well! Today I have a new card to share with you. A relative is celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to make her a special card! This style of card is rather unusual for me, but I really enjoyed changing it up a bit!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I ink blended a panel of bristol smooth cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp "Bouquet of Roses" stencil and Distress Oxides. For the leaves I used Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough and for the roses Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. I cut down the panel with the second largest of the Waffle Flower "A2 Layers" dies and adhered it into berry colored card base.

I die cut the numbers with the Stampin' Up Large Numbers dies out of white fun foam and silver mirror cardstock and layered the two on top of each other. I added them to the panel using liquid glue.

I wanted to add a German sentiment to this card, but I didn't have a stamp for it. So I created a document in Silhouette Studio with a font and printed it with a laser printer onto smooth black laser paper. Then I used the White Heidi Swapp Minc Foil and ran it through my Minc machine to transfer the toner foil. After that I die cut the sentiment with the Lawn Fawn "Everyday Sentiment Banners". I die cut it once again from the plain black laser paper and layered it behind the sentiment to give it more stability. The strip was then adhered using foam squares.

Finally, I added some pale pink pearls and clear sequins to the card to add some shine.

Even though this is not my usual style, I really like how it turned out! I loooooove floral cards in general, I just don't have a lot of stamps for it and it's way out of my comfort zone. But this makes me want to try it more! I really hope you liked it as well!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Wedding Day! | Car Critters Sunset Wedding Scene Card with Lawn Fawn

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are doing well! Today I have a wedding card to share with you. I made this card for a friend of my mom's and I used the Color Inspiration for the current Lawnfawnatics challenge!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored all of them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut. For the car I used the coordinating dies. From which sets all the images are from are listed below!

I die 3 panels with the Large Stitched Slimline Rectangles and cut 3 of those with with the Stitched Hillside Borders and the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. Then the top panel was die cut again with the Snowy Backdrop die and ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide for a sky that matched the color challenge! For the hills I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide and for the road part I used Post-It Tape to mask it and ink blended with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.

I adhered all the panels to a slimline card base and added the images using liquid glue and foam squares. As finishing touches I used Wink Of Stella shimmer pen, Star Dust Stickles & Nuvo Crystal Glaze for added glitter and shine and I also added a some white gel pen highlights.

I really hope you enjoyed this one! I really had a ton of fun making it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

You Are a Star! | Interactive Shadow Box Swing Card with Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are doing well! Today I want to share a new #ChallengeACraftyFriend card with you. This time the challenge was: Case an old card into the current style! So I chose  one of the first projects I ever made: a Swing Shadow Box using the adorable "Wish Upon a Star" by Mama Elephant. In some ways my card making definitely changed over the course of a year. I did learn a lot! But this card I actually still really liked. So I switched to coloring with copics - back then I used Zigs! I used a super fun Shadow Box Die and just recreated it how I would now. Didn't turn out that much different but with those adorable bunnies you really can't go wrong anyways!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored all of them using Copic markers. Then, they were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut. Since I knew I was making a shadow box card I went ahead and added lots of shimmer pen and some Unicorn Stickles to my Images, since I always find it's hard to add it at the end with interactive cards!

I die cut the Display a Card twice out of white cardstock and I also die cut two cloud borders and lots of Puffy Clouds (from both the Display a card and the Puffy Clouds die sets). I ink blended a background using a cloud stencil and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide Ink and I used the same ink to add some shading to the clouds! I added some Liquid Stardust Splatters to the background. Then I also die cut the 3D Arch Banner and ink blended it with Victorian Velvet as well.

I stamped my sentiment from the "Shall we Dance" stamp set onto the banner and heat embossed it in silver.

Then it was time to create my swing mechanism. I adhered the cloud panel to the back of the front for my shadow box. Then, I used a "Spin and Slide Disc" from MFT and added it to the back of the cloud panel. I cut down a strip of thick acetate and used a hole punch to create the opening to go around the dis and added it to the back of the clouds as well. After that, I also die cut a tiny circle and adhered it to the other side of the disc to close the mechanism. Then I added some tape to the bottom of the acetate strip and used that to adhere my moon. This finished the mechanism. I also adhered a penny to the back of my moon to add some weight. Now all that was left to do was close up the card and add the rest of my images and die cuts. I assembled the shadow box with the hill (see video for a detailed look!) and added some cloud die cuts and the other images using liquid glue.

Finally I added the sentiment banner to finish off my swing shadow box card!

I really hope you like it! I really had lots of fun making it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Fuzzy Holiday Hugs | Interactive Shadow Box Card with Mama Elephant

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you are doing well! Today I have a new #ChallengeACraftyFriend card to share with you. This time the challenge was: Focal Image - Using only one stamped image on the card. I decided to make a shadow box using the adorable bunnies from "Fuzzy Hugs" by Mama Elephant as my focal image! I absolutely adore this set and haven't used it nearly often enough!!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped my image onto Neenah cardstock and colored it using Copic markers. Then, I cut it out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

I die cut the Display a Card twice out of white cardstock and I also die cut the hill borders that comes with the set. Additionally, I die cut the 3D Arch Banner once and also the Winter Forest Cover Twice out of white cardstock to create a little forest behind my bunnies! Then, I ink blended a panel with Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and I also added some spun Sugar to the top of the hill and the banner. I splattered the background with gold and silver watercolor and also some liquid stardust! Then, I sprayed some shimmer spritz over the tree covers and the hill for added sparkle!

After everything was dry, I stamped my sentiment onto the banner and heat embossed it in silver.

I cut down the tree covers to only leave the trees connected at the bottom, because I knew that part would be covered with the hill and it would allow me to keep the spacing between the trees even. I adhered them to the ink blended background and cut down the entire panel to fit inside the back of the shadow box. I assembled the shadow box including the hill (you can see all the details in the video!) using scor tape and then inserted the background into the back of the box. Then, I added the entire box to an A2 sized card base.

I added my image using glue dots and the banner using foam tape and liquid glue. Finally, to add even more sparkle and shine (because - why not! :-D) I added some Star Dust Stickles to the tops of the branches in the background to make it look like little sparkly icicles!

I really hope you like this one! I had so much fun making it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
