Springtime Fairy Friends | Scene Card with Hello Bluebird

Hello everyone!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I want to share a springtime scene with you using the adorable "Fairy Garden" stamp set by Hello Bluebird.

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah Solar White and colored them in using Copic markers. They were all cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

Then I die cut the Winter Woods Overlay and ink blended Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide onto it. For the background I used Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean and I also added some splatters using the InkOn3 Liquid Pixie Dust. For the hills, shrubs and tree tops I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white.

I added the shrubbery panel to the background and the hill on top of that. After that, I figured out the placement of the tree tops and added those to the background as well. The Winter Woods Overlay was then adhered using foam squares for added dimension.

Then it was time to add the all the images to my scene. I added thin foam squares to the back and adhered them. To finish off my card I added lots of shimmer pen onto some he flowers, butterflies and fairy wings!

It's really hard to capture the beautiful sparkly of the Pixie Dust and shimmer pen in a photo but in person it looks super pretty!!

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Have a Dandy Day! | Spring Scene Card with Dandy Day by Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone!

Today I want to share a spring scene card with you. I used the super sweet "Dandy Day" set by Lawn Fawn!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped out my images and I used my Brother Scan'n'Cut to cut them out. Then I colored them using Copic Markers Markers.

I die cut the Foursquare backdrop three times. Then I ink blended one of them with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress  Ink. I also die cut a grassy border and ink blended that with Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn and I also added splatters in those colors for added interest. For some sparkle I added embossing ink with a Versamarker to the dandelions and used some clear sparkle embossing powder on it. I also stamped lots of little dandelion pieces on the background with a grey ink and also heat embossed that with the clear glitter embossing powder.

I ink blended a second panel with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean und die cut the letters "DANDY" using the Oliver's Stitched ABC's. This will build my sentiment "I think you're DANDY (and I'm not lion.). This last part just cracks me up every time I read it!! I also cut the letters from white fun foam and layered them behind the colored ones for dimension. The rest of the sentiment I heat embossed in white onto black cardstock. I trimmed it into thin strips.

I adhered some clouds to the background and then glued all the backdrop layers and the grassy layer together and added that on top. I used a magnetic craft mat and a t-square ruler to make sure I lined up the letters straight when I adhered them with liquid glue. I added the sentiments strips above and below with foam tape.

To finish my card, it was then time to add all my images to my scene. I used foam tape to adhere everything!

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

1 Design 3 Card Ideas | Quick and Easy Birthday Cards with Hello Bluebird

Hello everyone!

I hope you're doing well and staying safe! Today I want to share a new #ChallengeACraftyFriend project with you. My friend Lien challenged me to make a card with a repeating element. I pretty much only do scene cards. They are just my favorite but for this challenge I needed to come up with something else! So I decided to use the "Happy Birthday Word" die by Hello Bluebird and use the "happy" as my repeating element. While I was at it I decided to make three versions of the same card design!

If you would like to see how I made these cards just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I ink blended two panels of bristol smooth cardstock with Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed the backgrounds with some shimmer spray and let them dry.

Then using my craft mat and a T-Square ruler as a guide I lined up the "happy" die and die cut it four times out of one of the ink blended panels.

Card No. 1

I die cut the second rainbow piece with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables by Lawn fawn.
I die cut the letters for "happy" four times out of white cardstock and also four times out of fun foam and layerd them together. Then I used the panel with the "happy" words cut out as a template to line up my letters. Using liquid glue I adhered them to the background.

I die cut the "birthday" out of white and silver glitter cardstock and layered them for more stability. I added the die cut to my background and added everything to and A2 sized card base.

Card no. 2

For my second card, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Mama Elephant Cloud 9 frame. I used the negative piece as a template again and adhered my letters (which I backed with white foam tape) to the white background. As before, I added the "birthday" in silver glitter cardstock to the center and added everything to an A2 sized card base.

Card no. 3
For my last card, I decided to make a shaker card using the negative. I used a frame that usually gets cut out from the Hello Bluebird scene dies that I had left over from a previous project and adhered it to the background. I added a piece of acetate to the back and glued in the inside pieced of the letters  "a" and "p" to make it look complete. To the back I added foam tape and I made sure to create litte sections for each word, so that there would be lots of movement for every word.

I removed the backing paper of the foam tape, added diamond dust and chunky glitter to the little wells and sealed it shut with a white A2 sized card base.

This time I die cut the word birthday from silver glitter and two layers of white cardstock. Since the front was flat I wanted the word to stand out a bit more. I added it to the card front using liquid glue.

And that finishes off my three cards for the latest #ChallengeACraftyFriend!

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

#GetCrackingOnChristmas | Hello Bluebird O Christmas Tree Snowy Scene Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have my third installment of the #GetCrackingOnChristmas series to share with you! I made a scene card with the super adorable "O Christmas Tree" stamp set by Hello Bluebird! This is also a 2 in 1 challenge because my friend Lien challenged me to make a card with this stamp set for our #ChallengeACraftyFriend!

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah cardstock and colored them in using Copic markers. All the images were cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut. I embellished the images with shimmer pen, Crystal Glaze and a white gel pen.

For the background I cut a bristol panel down to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and ink blended it with Milled Lavender, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I also added lots of white and silver splatters. I also die cut three hills using the Grassy Knoll die set and ink blended the top edges with a little bit of Milled Lavender.

Hello-Bluebird-O-Christmas-Tree-Scene-Card

I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set in silver. I added the top hill to the background flat using tape runner and added the next two with foam tape. Then it was time to add all my images. I backed them with foam tape for lots of dimension. Then, I also die cut the "falala" from the Christmas Words #1 die set. I layered 3 white die cuts and added one out of silver glitter cardstock on top. I adhered it to the scene using liquid glue.

As finishing touches I added some Nuvo Glitter Accents in Snowfall to the hats of my critters and also to the baubles on the scarf of the fox.

I  hope you enjoyed it! I am really loving making Christmas cards year round and I will be so happy to already have a stack ready to go for when the time comes around!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Craft Space Tour | Small Space Storage Solutions, Ikea Alex Hack and Filming Set-Up

Hello everyone!

Today I a different post to share with you! I know during this uncertain time lots of people are organizing or reorganzing their spaces - so I thought I would share a little tour of my craft space with you!

Now, as you will see in the video - contrary to my username - I don't actually have a designated craft room. My craft area is in a corner of my living room. And I know a lot of you also need some solutions for small craft areas so I am hoping that this video may be helpful to you. I am sharing all my tips of space saving storage solutions for craft supplies. I also share the details of my filming set-up as well!

I also struggled to fit everything into my drawers, because they simple were not high enough. So I am also sharing a hack for Ikea Alex drawers to join two drawers together for more height!

You can just click below to watch the full tour!

I hope you enjoyed the tour! Thank you for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Easter Egg Hunt! | Interactive Inside Shadow Box Card with Hello Bluebird

Hello everyone!

Happy Easter and if you don't celebrate - Happy Sunday!! I hope you're all doing well and staying safe! For my third Easter card I made another inside shadow box card. A landscape version this time. I used the super cute "Easter Egg Hunt", "Fairy Garden" and "Springtime Gatherings" stamp sets by Hello Bluebird.

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

First, I stamped all my images onto Neenah cardstock. Then I cut out all of the images using my Brother Scan'n'Cut and colored them in using Copic markers. I added some shimmer pen on the easter eggs, flowers, fairy wings and butterflies and also some Crystal Glaze the the brushers and Easter eggs. After everything was dry I added some Unicorn Stickles to the paint brushes and the inside of the paint bucket. I did the embellishing before assembly this time, because I find it's a lot easier than fiddling around with the interactive card later.

Hello Bluebird Easter Egg Hunt Fairy Garden

Then it was time to tackle the mechanism. I cut a piece of 8.5 x 11" Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock in half length wise, so I ended up with two panels measuring 11 x 4 1/4". Then I scored one of the panels at 5 1/2", folded it along the score line and cut off 1/2" on one side. The other panel was scored at 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6". I used a rectangle die to cut the opening between the first and second score line and folded along all the score lines to form the inside shadow box. I added one strip of Scor tape to the 1/2" flap and three strips to the back of the long flap (I show it in detail in the video since it's much easier to see than to write!). I removed the backing of the first strip of tape. Placed it inside the card base, lined it up and closed the card to adhere it. Now I flipped it over, removed the backing of the rest of the tape and closed the back of the card onto itself to create the inside shadow box. Sorry - this is super difficult to write out. The video is much more helpful here! I also die cut a hill panel to inside my shadow box measuring 5 1/2" and scored at 1/4" and 5 1/4".

I cut two pieces of bristol smooth cardstock to A2 size and ink blended Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass on one of them and used all three and also added in Cracked Pistachio on the second. I gave both panels a coat of Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for some pretty shine. Then, I die cut the Hello Bluebird Spooky Scene twice out of bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended the trees with Old Paper and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I also cut a frame of the Scene Die using Fog cardstock to match the card base. On the hill of the Spooky Scene and the one I cut before I used Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen  Bough. I also used the Grassy Knoll die set to create some tree tops and I used Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles Distress Ink to blend those. I also added some splatters for added interest.

I cut down the background to fit inside of my shadow box, adhered it and also adhered my hill panel.

Then I added all the Spooky Scene elements to the front background using liquid glue and added my critters and flowers to create the scene. I also stamped some grass pieces from the Field Mice stamp set using Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.

After that I added all my images to the inside using liquid glue. Some directly to the back of the box and some to the hill to create dimension. I also ink blended a banner with the colors from before and die cut it with the Lawn Fawn Wavy Banner die. I heat embossed the sentiment from Easter Egg Hunt onto it in silver and added it to the inside of my card.

I really hope you enjoyed this one! I had a lot of fun making it! Until next time - stay safe!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Easter | Scene Card with Hippity Hop and Little Chickie Agenda by Mama Elephant

Hello everyone!

Welcome (back) to my blog! Today I want to share another Easter scene with you! This time I am using the super cute "Hippity Hop" and "Little Chickie Agenda" by Mama Elephant.

If you would like to see how I made this card just click on the video below or just keep reading!

I started by stamping all my images onto Neenah Solar White. Then, I colored them in using Copic markers. They were all cut out using the Brother Scan'n'Cut.

Since I needed lots of room for my scene, I made another A2 "extended" card measuring 4 1/4 x 8 1/2! The We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch board actually has an envelope size that fits well!

Then I die cut the Tree House Scene and ink blended it using Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso Distress Ink. For the background I used Dried Marigold, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick and I also added lots of splatters using the InkOn3 Liquid Pixie Dust. For the hill and tree tops I used Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles.

I added the hill to the background and the tree house on top of that. After that, I figured out the placement of the tree tops and added those as well. The sentiment from the Hello Bluebird Spring Gatherings set was heat embossed in silver.

Then it was time to add the all the images to my scene. I added thin foam squares to the back and adhered them. To finish off my card I added lots of shimmer pen onto the eggs and balloons and then Nuvo Crystal Glaze on top for added dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this one! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
